Novelty Motorcycle Helmets – Providing Looks, Not Safety
Novelty motorcycle helmets have become more and more important over recent years and you may be wondering why that is. Perhaps the main reason they have become so popular is because of the fact that they provide the small profile among all of the different types of half helmets.
So why are novelty helmets so small you ask? Well it’s really quite simple. Normal half helmets are made with a thick liner which is designed to provide protection to the rider’s head. This liner is typically around 1 inch thick and can be fairly bulky if it is any thicker than that. So the end result is a helmet that has a little bulkier look to it.
This may not be a favorable look, especially to those who are looking to maintain a small profile. Granted the traditional half helmet still provides a sleek, slim profile, but not nearly as small as the novelty motorcycle helmet.
